Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge
The Refuge was established in 1994 to preserve the unique wetland and forest habitats of the valley. With thirty one miles of pedestrian trail, most of which is also open for bicycles and horses, the Refuge is open for wildlife observation and study, nature photography, fishing and hunting. Visit the refuge Visitor Center on Rt. 32 in Canaan Valley.
