The Mountain Institute has been on the side of Spruce Knob for the past 32 years helping families and groups explore the world outside. We offer: Wilderness First Responder Classes to help people take care of themselves while they are in the woods, Photography courses so people can take home the inspiration they find here, Summer Camps so students can have fun and learn to appreciate the great outdoors, a place to stay during hunting season, so all those people who love the ruggedness of the woods can find a little comfort close by and Educational School programs to help bring this appreciation to the class room.
